The Sheridan County Commissioners are asking County employees to contribute to their own health insurance premiums. Previously, employees would only be required to pay for spouse or family coverage. County Commissioner Bob Rolston says now employees will have to pay a portion of any health coverage:
Employees will pay just over $50 per month for single coverage and up to $150 per month for family coverage.
In other business, the County received a $250,000 grant from the Wyoming Community Development Authority. The grant will go to Volunteers of America to build the Milestones Youth Home. So why is the County involved?
The grant will cover nearly one-third of the projected costs for the project.
The Commission also tabled further consideration of the Law Enforcement Center agreement with the City of Sheridan, and they denied a re-hearing for V-O Gold Properties after their subdivision request was denied in April. The Commissioners will meet again on Tuesday, July 21st.
