The Sheridan City Council held a noon work session Monday that dealt with new software that the City will be implementing shortly. In a matter of months, the City's building department will switch to electronic plan review that will benefit the City as well as contractors and developers. The new software will not only provide a more efficient permitting process, it will also save the City money on an annual basis.
Bare indicated that they will be offering public training to developers and contractors once they implement the system. They will however still accept paper copies as well. The City will make the switch to electronic plan review in the next two to three months.
