City of Sheridan Planning Commission member Kay Pearson resigned last week, which prompted the Sheridan City Council to hold a special meeting Monday to make a temporary appointment to the commission. The Council unanimously appointed Jason Szwec to a term of no more than 60 days. Council President John Bigelow says that the appointment was made temporary so that others in the community that may be interested can submit their applications.
Bigelow said that the letters of interest should contain the person's background information and a detailed description of why they are interested in serving on the Planning Commission. Letters of interest can be dropped off at Sheridan City Hall.
