Council Eying On-Street Parking Ordinance

Modifications to the City of Sheridan's ordinance pertaining to the abatement of buildings and nuisances was approved on third and final reading Monday night.

The Council also received a staff report regarding on-street parking issues within Sheridan. City Engineer Lane Thompson presented the City Council with four alternatives that could ultimately be crafted into a City ordinance for Council's future consideration.

After discussing the pros and cons of each alternative, the Council agreed that the public needs to be a part of the process in crafting an on-street parking ordinance. CouncilmanJohn Bigelow.

Mayor Dave Kinskey said that he'll work with staff on putting an ordinance together that will include an avenue for public input on the ordinance before it's brought to the Council for consideration.
