At their meeting Tuesday, the Buffalo City Council awarded the bid to renovate the bandshell in Washington Park to 76 Ranch Co./Fran Walter Construction, on the recommendation of City Building Inspector Toby Rhoades.

Rhoades said the bid is for $15,829.45 and will be paid for out of 1-percent funds that were allocated for the project last year.

He explains what renovations will be done.

The contractor requested 50% of the bid money up front to purchase materials and said the work will be completed by the end of May.

The council approved the contract and the issuance of the check for materials.

Rhoades also reported that he awarded the bid for roof repair at the Buffalo Children's Center to Kyle Cummings/Rock Creek Roofing for $2,107.74 and work will begin when he has a three-day window for warm, dry weather.
