Council Approves Funding Request From Economic Development Task Force

The Sheridan City Council Monday night approved a funding request of $42,875 from the Sheridan County Economic Development Task Force. Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce CEO Dixie Johnson says that the Task Force has accomplished a lot since it was formed two years ago, and the funding will help take the next step in marketing the Sheridan area.

The funds will come from the City's one-cent contingency fund for economic and community development, and will be administered by the Chamber. Sheridan County is in the process of considering the other half of the estimated $85,750 that the Task Force is requesting to fund their initiatives through June 30 of next year.
