The Sheridan City Council held a special meeting over the noon hour Tuesday to consider an application for the City's last remaining bar and grill license. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the story.

In late October, the final closing documents were signed by Bob and Dana Townsend , making them the new owners of the Historic Sheridan Inn. Tuesday, the council approved their application for a bar and grill license. Bob Townsend says that they are currently talking with a couple of interested parties.

During the brief meeting in which the council approved the bar and grill license through the end of the year, and the renewal of the license for the upcoming year, Townsend stated that depending on which entity they partner with, the restaurant could be open in as little as 60 days, or it could be in April of next year. Be sure to join us Friday, as we'll hear how the renovations of the Inn are coming along.
