Johnson County's Commissioner's, at Tuesday's meeting, awarded the contract to provide heating and air conditioning service to the County's Annex A building to Rex Sampson and Sampson Sheet Metal of Buffalo.
The commission had received bids earlier on the project, but based on the varied quotes they received they believed not everyone understood for sure what they were bidding on and threw them out.
The current bids were received by Sampson and Powder River Heating and Air Conditioning. No bids were submitted by Alpine Heating and Air Conditioning.
Powder River submitted a proposal that would cost the county $1,167 annually for servicing the units twice a year.
Sampson Sheet Metal 's proposal was for $960 annually for the same service.
Commission Chair Delbert Eitel read the scope of work section of the proposal from Sampson Sheet Metal.
The commission voted to accept the proposal from Sampson Sheet Metal.
