During their regularly scheduled monthly meeting Wednesday, members of the Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority Joint Powers Board received an update from consultants on the career and technical education training study that is about to move into its second phase. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has this report.
In January of this year, consultants CAEL and Avalanche began a study intended to build off of a 2007 study that outlined the target industry areas in Sheridan. The first phase of that study was delivered to SEEDA in May and phase two is about to get underway over the next several days. CAEL Vice President Joel Simon says that there are two key areas that will be addressed while interviewing stakeholders.
The information gathered during this second phase is designed to produce a more definitive outlook says Simon.
The consultants will meet with groups of educators and employers while they are in Sheridan over the next couple of days.
