The Sheridan College campus continues to be a hotbed of activity, as renovation to the Thorne-Rider Campus Center is progressing and construction crews are also working on the campus' outdoor mall, which will include a plaza and amphitheater, along with changes to the facade of the Griffith Memorial Building.

College Director of Facilities Kent Andersen stated in a news release, that construction to the Griffith building, which houses the library and the Sheridan College Foundation, will feature additional square footage of needed academic space and allow better access to the Thorne-Rider Campus Center and outdoor mall.

He added that much of the area between the Whitney Academic Center, the Griffith building and the Thorne-Rider center will be fenced off while under construction, and that students and visitors traveling from the Whitney building to the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome are advised to pass through the north entrance of the Griffith building and exit through the east doors.

Construction of the Griffith building, the Thorne-Rider center and the outdoor mall remain on schedule to be complete by the end of the summer.
