Thanks to a recently closed conservation easement and bequest of a local ranch to the Wyoming Stock Growers Agricultural Land Trust, 1,050 acres of working ranch land in Sheridan County known as the Kusel Ranch will remain forever agriculture.
Wyoming Stock Growers Ag Land Trust Program Coordinator Graham McGaffin says the Kusels have taken a big step in ensuring that their ranch remains a ranch.
McGaffin indicated that it was a pleasure dealing with the Kusel family.
The Kusel family has ranched on their land since 1910 and Fred and sister Catherine have owned and operated the cattle and hay operation since 1967.
