Field representatives for Wyoming's Congressional delegation hosted an “Office Hours” at the YMCA Friday, and though the meeting was sparsely attended, emotions were high among those who came to speak their views. DeAnna Kay, Denise Ebzery, and Matt Jones are Field Representatives for U.S. Senators Michael Enzi and John Barrasso, and House Representative Cynthia Lummis, respectively.
During their latest listening session, they were greeted by two especially passionate citizens with a mindful to unload. The first was local activist, John Fafoutakis, who brought up multiple concerns, including what he believes to be unchecked immigration and invasion of privacy of American citizens. He applauded NSA whistleblower, Eric Snowden, for leaking information regarding the organization's data mining, but is disappointed with the federal response. He called for the resignation of House Speaker, John Boehner.
Margaret Halliburton picked up where Fafoutakis left off.
The congressional field reps were also briefly approached by a handful of nonprofit organizations, who provided updates on their respective projects. The feedback given at Friday's office hours will be relayed to they Wyoming representatives in Washington, D.C.
