In a little over two weeks the concealed carry law will go into effect in Wyoming, which essentially means that citizens will no longer need a permit to carry a gun concealed.

Sheridan Police Chief Richard Adriaens says that even with the new law, people won't be able to attend Government meetings or enter bars or churches with their concealed weapon.

There were a couple of reasons why law enforcement took issue with the law as it was moving through the legislature this past session and both of those issues dealt with safety.

The concealed carry law will officially go into effect Friday, July 1st.
