Santa and Mrs. Claus, gifts for the kids, and a holiday meal with all the trimmings are all on the menu of the annual Sheridan County Community Holiday Dinner this Sunday (Dec. 8). The event is free to all Sheridan County residents, and it will be from 4 to 7 at the Holiday Inn on Sugarland Drive.
The community holiday dinner has been a staple of the holiday season in Sheridan since 1991. While it's free, a ticket is required for admission. Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce – the Visitors' Center off Fifth Street, and at the Department of Family Services, Sheridan Health Center, the Holiday Inn, Holy Name Thrift Shop, Sheridan's Lunch Together Soup Kitchen, Salvation Army, Sheridan Senior Center, St. Peter's Episcopal Church – the Red Door, and at Warehouse Market.
Anyone who needs free transportation to the dinner can call the senior center at 674-9272.
