Medical professionals with the Sheridan County Public Health Clinic are busy making their rounds through the county to offer flu vaccinations to students within the school districts. This year's vaccinations may seem routine, but they're really the result of a community pulling together. Registered Nurse, Toby Granger, explains the schools' flu vaccination program was actually cut from state funding.
Knowing how important the preventative vaccine is to community health, Granger said last year, several big donors stepped in to keep the program afloat.
This year, it's largely been a small group of local businesses who have enabled the student flu vaccination program to continue.
Business who donated to the schools' flu vaccinations are:
First National Bank
Strahan & Associates
First Federal Savings Bank
School District 1
Perkins Challenge Grant
First Interstate Bank
Powder River Energy Corp
