The Community Assessment Team from the Wyoming Rural Development Council goes over the findings of the two-day assessment at Sheridan City Hall.

Two teams from the Wyoming Rural Development Council wrapped up their two day community assessment in Sheridan with a Town Hall meeting Wednesday at Sheridan City Hall. The assessment was a five year follow up to the one that was conducted in 2004. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey explains the benefits of utilizing what the Wyoming Rural Development Council has to offer.

The Mayor says that once the report is finalized and submitted back to the City, it will be a team effort to implement the recommendations.

While the assessment team presented four pages of concerns that were raised by the over 100 people that took part in the two-day assessment, there were plenty more good things that were expressed about the community than bad.

The report containing the suggestions and recommendations will be finalized and submitted to the City in approximately 4 to 5 weeks. The assessment team will return to Sheridan in 2 to 3 months time to conduct a priority setting meeting with officials from the City, County, and the agencies that took part in the follow up assessment.
