County officials met last week at the Commissioner’s meeting to discuss problems at the new justice/judicial center and how to address them.
There are issues with outside doorways with wind blowing them open and with snow and ice accumulating there. Electronic camera systems are not working properly and need additional software, recording equipment isn’t working. The exhaust system needs extensions designed and installed to keep it from blowing back into the building.
Commissioner Jim Hicks had met with the sheriff, county attorney, police chief and others from the judicial center and had discussed and seen the problems himself.
They came before the rest of the commissioners to get approval to get the problems with the buildings resolved.
The commissioners gave approval to find a contractor to get the awnings and windbreaks designed for the various entrances to the buildings and for the sheriffs department to begin looking into fixing the electronics problems in the buildings.
