Two separate contracts were discussed and one acted on at the last Johnson County Commissioner's meeting.
The first contract is to be drafted between the county and St. Francis Animal Shelter to specify services and a monthly dollar amount to be paid to the shelter.
St. Francis currently has a contract with the City of Buffalo and is requesting one with the county as well.
There is a verbal agreement between the county and the shelter for picking up animals but not for long-term maintenance and care of those animals.
The county will base their contract on the one currently in place between the shelter and the city.
No action was taken to give the county attorney's office more time to draft the agreement.
The second agreement is for services to be provided by Rocky Mountain Cummins of Gillette.
Cummins will provide maintenance and service to the generators at the judicial/justice center for $2,966 per year.
This is an extension of an existing agreement between the county and the company.
The commissioners also added a request for Cummins to price additional services in the contract to check fuel levels and test fuel quality twice per year and bring those figures back to the commission.
The commissioners approved the contract and the request for additional services.
