Commissioners Approve Ostheimer Minor Subdivision

Much of Tuesday's Sheridan County Commissioners meeting consisted of public comment and consideration about the proposed Ostheimer Minor Subdivision near Ranchester. The request for a subdivision permit from Gib and Debbie Ostheimer was ultimately approved by the Commissioners; however, Commissioner Bob Rolston cast the lone “no” vote toward the subdivision.

The subdivision consists of splitting just over 26 acres into two lots. Two conditions that were placed on the subdivision include that the property eventually be rezoned agricultural, and that no septic systems be built within 50 feet of the cut bank and oxbow of the Tongue River.
