Sheridan County's Commissioners approved a resolution Monday to apply for a grant to do dust abatement on 102 miles of roads in Sheridan County. Grant writer, Mike Mackey.
The total project is expected to cost just over half of a million dollars. Commissioner, Steve Maier, said he was pleased with the federal program that allows the county to multiply the value of Sheridan County's Capital Facilities Tax.
The commissioners noted the CMAQ grant process is long, and may take a year or more. County Engineer, Ken Muller, is entrusted by the commissioners to act on the county's behalf in all matters relating to the grant application.
