The Sheridan County Commission approved a resolution Tuesday to apply for two grants that will allow for the “Reconstruct East Airside Taxilane” project at the Sheridan County Airport.
Commissioner Steve Maier says that these grants will allow for expanded services at the Airport Business Park.
The grant applications total $980,000, with the FAA's share totaling $950,000 and the State Aeronautics share totaling $30,000.
Sheridan County will pay for $20,000 of the $1 million project. $12,000 from the County is budgeted in the airport's current fiscal year budget and the remaining funds will come from the airport budget for the next fiscal year.
