Johnson County's Commissioners adopted the Airport Master Plan at their Tuesday meeting.
The Master Plan was completed in 2007, but was apparently overlooked and wasn't officially adopted then.
Planner Rob Yingling had noticed through his normal routine that the plan had not been adopted and brought the issue to the commissioner's attention earlier this year.
Yingling said the county's proposed zoning regulations were based on the county's comprehensive plan which includes references to the Airport Master Plan, that was discovered to have not been formally adopted.
He explained the issue further to the commissioners.
The commissioner voted to officially adopt Resolution No. 491, the 2007 Airport Master Plan.
