When Sheridan County Commissioners approved the distribution amount of a TANF grant at their June, 19th meeting, they were under the impression that the grant would be in the amount of $50,000, as it has been in years past. Commissioners that day approved $30,000 to go to CASA and $20,000 to go to Easter Seals. The County recently was informed by the Department of Family Services that due to funding cutbacks, Sheridan County was awarded only $45,000.
Commissioners Tuesday approved an adjustment to the funds awarded to both agencies. Commissioner Bob Rolston.
CASA will now receive $27,000, and Easter Seals will get $18,000.
