A drawing exhibition and workshop featuring a visiting professor will be presented over a three-day period next month at Sheridan College.
The visit by artist Steve Johnson of Mesa, Arizona, starts with a presentation and introduction to his creative process on Wednesday night, March 5, from 5:30-6:30, in the Whitney building. The event is free and open to the public.
On Thursday, March 6, from 10-4, he'll spend the day working on unfinished drawings in the college's art wing hallway. For this, he encourages all interested students and the general public to stop by and observe the evolution of his work, throughout the day.
Then on Friday afternoon, March 7, he'll conduct an experimental drawing workshop for the college art students, from 12:30-4:30. Johnson is an assistant professor of drawing at the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C.
