CTA Architects Engineers of Gillette, Jackson and Billings has been selected to design the Sheridan College Academic Center.
Chief Financial Officer Cheryl Heath says that qualification submittals were received from fifteen architecture firms, with that list whittled down to four. She tells us what the deciding factor was in selecting CTA.
Along with Jim Beal serving as Principal in Charge for CTA, other team members include Dale Buckingham Architects and Vista West Engineering of Sheridan, and Knapp Architecture Design Development, and Networks Consulting.
Now that the primary architect has been chosen on the project, Heath tells us that meetings are being conducted this week to get the planning process rolling.
Construction on the building is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2012, with completion set for fall semester, 2013. As for what will be housed in the Academic Center, Heath reminds us.
The project funding of $15.2 million provided by the State of Wyoming and Whitney Foundation allows for approximately 50,000 square feet of new construction and renovation.
