The entire student body of Coffeen Elementary School put on a leadership presentation for the public to show off the remarkable transformation the school has undergone in only four years.

School principal, Nicole Trahan, spearheaded an effort to turn around the school's bad test scores and iffy reputation.

When Trahan took over, Coffeen Elementary students had the lowest test scores in town, and was below average statewide. However, the drastic overhaul of the school's philosophy has proven statistically effective.

The leadership presentation featured dozens of students explaining their values and giving examples of their own leadership experiences. Trahan hopes to use her school as an example to other schools nationwide who are looking to implement the leadership program.
