Closing arguments in the murder trial of Richard Wilkerson will be heard Saturday morning in Johnson County District Court.
Wilkerson is on trial, charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of 45 year-old Brian Newman in a bar altercation last September in Buffalo.
The trial began Monday with jury selection and seating and testimony and presentation of evidence began Tuesday and continued this week, wrapping up Friday afternoon.
Closing arguments by the prosecution and defense are scheduled for 10am Saturday morning and jury deliberation is expected after the closing arguments are completed.
Wilkerson is facing a minimum of 20 years with a maximum of life in prison if found guilty of the charges.
