Sheridan College President Paul Young reported to the Northern Wyoming Community College District Board at their last meeting that Buffalo's old Clear Creek School building is still on the college's radar for a possible move once the Johnson County School District vacates the building.
Young told the board the he and JCSD1 Superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler met recently to discuss the possibility and he explains what came out of the meeting.
The city's study is expected to be completed this Spring.
Dr. Young also told the board that enrollment is up not only at the Johnson County campus, but at all three campuses simultaneously.
Although the district has added 600 more full-time students since 2007, they have received no additional funding from the state to serve those students.
“The state is just not funding two-year college growth,” Young said.
