Despite a hot a dry summer where there has been little to no precipitation and the temperatures have consistently hovered in the 90's, the water supply for the City of Sheridan is in pretty good shape. City Water Treatment Superintendent Tom Manolis.
Manolis explains that they've met each target date with ease this season.
As far as if this year's conditions will have any bearing on the water outlook for next year.
Manolis added that they like to be about 25 to 35 percent drawn down at Twin Lakes reservoir before October 1st of each year to eliminate the opportunity for ice damage to the facilities over the winter. The City began releasing water from Twin Lakes in mid July, which Manolis said puts them right on target for 2014.
