The City of Sheridan finished up their budget work sessions Thursday with a review of the Engineering, Planning, Building and City Hall budget requests. All of the aforementioned department's budget requests for the upcoming fiscal year are flat, meaning they are the same as what was budgeted last year.

While the budgets are flat, City Engineer Lane Thompson says that the planning and engineering departments are receiving some supplemental funding for this fiscal year, which isn't expected to happen in future.

Thompson said that engineering will receive $100,000 in supplemental funds, while the planning department will receive $50,000.
