Expanding the pathways north and south is something that the City of Sheridan will continue to work on this summer.
City Parks Manager Chuck Carbert says that there will be some extensive work done on the South Park area.
Carbert explains that there will be a lot of pathway work this year to the north of Sheridan as well.
City Public Works Director Nic Bateson pointed out that limited funds have meant that they've had to prioritize the projects for the year, but that the City will continue to work toward extension of the pathways for years to come.
All of the pathways are funded through Public Benefit and One-Cent Optional Funds. South Park is funded through those funds as well, but the City has received $300,000 in grant money to be used at South Park.
