Sheridan City Councilman John Bigelow's resignation means that there is a vacancy on the Council for one of the two seats representing ward two. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey says that the City is looking for interested applicants.
Anyone interested in the vacant Council seat for ward two can submit their information to the Clerk's office at City Hall. The City has received interest from only one person so far. Bigelow's term expires at the end of this year, meaning that whoever the Council appoints to fill the vacancy left by the councilor's resignation will serve on the council briefly, unless he or she chooses to run for the position in the upcoming election.
