City of Sheridan Hosts Classes on New Building Codes

The City of Sheridan Building Department is offering a series of classes for architects, engineers, building contractors, and design professionals to get up to speed on the city's new building codes. Kevin Bare, building official, says the city is working on updating the codes across the board.

Bare said the new regulations slated for adoption into city ordinance are overdue.

The department kicked off its first class on Mechanical Fuel and Gas yesterday, but for those who missed it, there will be repeat session October 18. Tomorrow's class will cover Residential Code and will be repeated October 25. Plumbing and Fuel Gas will be presented next Thursday and again October 16, and Building Code will be covered October 11 and 23.

All Classes will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers, on the 3rd floor of City Hall.
