City Of Sheridan Approves Fee Waivers

The Sheridan City Council adjusted Plant Investment Fees and Building Fees across the board earlier this year. When this happened, it drastically reduced the funds available to cover lost revenues if the City waives project fees. The Council approved nearly $30,000 in waiver requests after a lengthy discussion.

City employees will get an extra holiday bonus as the City will be able to provide a hiatus in insurance premiums for December and January. The City is part of an insurance pool now, and has seen a savings with the new insurance. There is not enough savings to provide a premium decrease, and City employees will resume paying premiums in February.

It certainly hasn't reduced the number of waivers by council.They're still giving away waivers as fast as they can with no way to make them up.
