The City of Sheridan will move forward with plans to conduct an analysis study on the railroad corridor in Sheridan. The City Council recently granted approval to have City staff submit a planning and technical assistance grant to the Wyoming Business Council for $50,000. Briggs said that the goal of the project is to develop a comprehensive economic development strategy for Sheridan's railroad corridor. He also said that City staff is estimating that the project can be completed for $60,000, with $50,000 coming from the grant from the state and the other $10,000 coming from budgeted professional service funds.
