The Wyoming Department of Transportation recently awarded the bid for the North Main project in Sheridan to DRM Inc. out of Gillette in the amount of $13.6 million, which was $3.4 million below the engineer's estimate. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey says that City's portion will be lower as well and that will free up some monies for others in the state.
The project will consist of a stretch of 1.2 miles of North Main and is tentatively scheduled to begin in the spring of 2010 and be finished by the end of June 2011.
