City Part Of High Tech Business Park Agreement With Forward Sheridan

The City of Sheridan will spend more than $8,000 toward the planning of a high-tech business park in Sheridan. The pledge was part of a planning-only grant application submitted to the Wyoming Business Council for $25,000. Forward Sheridan will administer the grant and proceed through the planning process.

Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey says the project could lead to bringing more high paying jobs to our community.

The agreement charges Forward Sheridan with initiating the planning of a high tech business park in north Sheridan on land recently acquired by the City in a trade for infrastructure improvements. There are some who question the City’s commitment to nearly $1.2 million in infrastructure extensions to the property.

Kinskey says the process of developing the high tech business park could take several years to implement.

Would this be the same high tech business park where Councilman Mulholland is building his business? Is there no conflict of interest here?
