City of Sheridan employees recently raffled off an iPod and decided to give the proceeds to a local charity. The group held their recognition dinner last week and they voted to give the money to Child Advocacy Services of the Bighorns.
Susie Cannon is Development Coordinator for Child Advocacy Services and she says the gift comes at the perfect time for them. Visitation services are in very high demand over the holidays. The raffle raised $500 for the program.
Child Advocacy Services provides family visitation programs and exchange services that allow children conflict-free access to both of their parents. They also run the CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocates program. CASA represents children involved in the court system due to abuse or neglect.
