When the Sheridan City Council considered the annexation ordinance of over 500 acres west of Sheridan, there were some concerns with the wording of the ordinance. The planning commission had recommended limits on the number of residential units and commercial space that could be developed. Mayor Dave Kinskey says the annexation agreement will show more strict limits.
Developer Don Roberts asked for the more restrictive language in the agreement. He also asked for the City to develop the 30 plus acres of open space he will dedicate as parkland with the annexation.
Roberts also raised issues with the City approving an agreement that would force him to fund any pathway extensions on his property. The Council tabled the item indefinitely and asked staff to review the agreement with the developer before coming before the Council again.
