The final budget work session of the Sheridan City Council took place Thursday with a presentation by City Clerk Scott Badley and a recap by City Treasurer Jennifer Reed.
The City had to make up a $1.7 million deficit that was projected for the General Fund for the upcoming fiscal year.
Reed stated to the Council that the budget for the fiscal year is balanced.
Reed also indicated that the proposed budget also cuts funding across the board for all of the One-Cent recipients.
In total, the funding for One-Cent recipients was reduced by $361,000.
The City Council will hold a special meeting on June 20th, when they will formally adopt the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2011-2012.
