Three candidates are seeking to fill a two-year vacancy on Sheridan's City Council.

Robert Webster, Thayer Shafer and Mona Hanson are running for the council seat held by John Heath. Heath resigned the council position to become Sheridan's mayor after incumbent mayor Dave Kinskey was chosen to fill a vacancy in Wyoming's Senate.

At a recent forum, Hanson, Shafer and Webster were asked their views on the one-cent sales tax. Hanson began the discussion.

Shafer spoke next.

Last was Webster.

Webster is currently an incumbent on the council. Shafer has served on the city planning and zoning board. Hanson is a Sheridan native and a graduate of Sheridan High School and Sheridan College.
