Buffalo City Project Coordinator/Building Inspector Tom Hulick announced that the dates for the Citywide Spring Cleanup have been changed, due to a scheduling conflict.
Originally the City had scheduled the cleanup for May 11th - 14th, but the dates weren't available. Hulick explains the problem. .
The rescheduled dates are Wednesday, May 18th through Saturday, May 21st.
The Citywide Spring Cleanup gives City residents the opportunity to clean up their yards and property of non-hazardous debris, garbage and other material, with the city picking up the cost.
All that is needed is for residents to stop by the Buffalo City Hall to sign up and receive a voucher which allows them to make trips to the landfill.
Vouchers will be available at the Buffalo City Hall from May 9th - 20th.
Hulick said refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners will be accepted, but no yard debris, as the landfill takes those items for free everyday.
He added that the City has budgeted $10,000 for this year's cleanup, up slightly from last year's total that the city spent.
