The Buffalo City Council, at their regular meeting Tuesday, awarded the Brock Street/Safe Routes to School Sidewalk Project to a Deaver company with the lowest bid.
Three bids were received for the project, according to City Planner Zach Montgomery, who requested the council award the project to E.H.C., LLC.
The engineer estimated construction costs at $220,855, so the winning low bid was 2% below the engineer's estimate. The next lowest bid was for $231,520 and the highest bid was $257,180.
City Works Director Les Hook told the council WyDOT has worked with E.H.C. For the last couple of years in Sheridan and they are pleased with the quality of their work.
After the recommendations the council voted to award the contract to E.H.C., LLC. Work is expected to begin shortly and be complete by this fall. Vista West Engineering of Sheridan is in charge of the sidewalk project.
