Contract negotiations between the City of Sheridan and the Local 276 Firefighters Union continued at Monday night's Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.
The City delivered a counter proposal to the union's initial contract proposal that was submitted at the May 5th council meeting. Local 276 Firefighters Union President George Neeson expressed disappointment with the City's counter offer.
Council President Alex Lee feels confident that an agreement will be reached between both sides.
Neeson closed negotiations by informing the council that Jeff Hamilton would represent the Union in arbitration. State statute requires both sides name an arbitrator within 30 days of opening contract negotiations. The City and Union began negotiating April 21st.
