Buffalo resident Lew Pierson sat through the Buffalo City Council meeting Tuesday night, waiting for the public comment period, then spoke directly to the council, particularly councilman Justin Gerard, about his recent arrest on drug charges.
Pierson told Gerard he has no business being on the council.
Pierson Wrapped up his comment by saying, “I have been against drugs my entire life and this is [expletive deleted]!”
Gerard responded with an apology.
Councilman Russ Humphrey gave his opinion and Counciman Bill Hawley clarified a point with those attending.
No further action was taken on the matter.
Gerard still faces a preliminary hearing on the charges in Campbell County, but a continuance was filed last week and the hearing has not yet been rescheduled.
