This Saturday and Saturday, December 12, St. Luke's lutheran Church in Buffalo will be the site for the 15th Annual Christmas Kids' Shop.

Children fro 4 years of age through fourth grade can select up to five gifts for family members, friends or others free of charge.

Julia Bettinger, who has been organizing the event for the last few years, explains more.

Parents can stay upstairs and enjoy refreshments while the kids shop downstairs, Bettinger said.

There are gifts appropriate for parents, grandparents, siblings and others at the kids' shop, and the gifts are free for the kids. Bettinger said the gold tickets have been distributed through area schools and daycares, but if a child was missed, they won't be turned away.

Although put on by St. Luke's, the event has become more of a community effort, with volunteers coming from different denominations all over Buffalo.

St. Luke's Lutheran Church is located at 615 N. Burritt Ave.
