The Second Annual Chris LeDoux Day is this Saturday in Kaycee, with rodeo events and music, two of Chris' loves showcased in his hometown.
Peggy LeDoux, Chris' wife and one of the organizers of the events, said the family is honored that so many are willing to come together to help remember Chris and participate in the celebration.
She explains how the idea for the day got started.
The rodeo events kick off at 1pm at Harold Jarrard Park and include match saddle bronc riding, match bareback riding and the Native American relay race. Calcutta on the relay race will be held between the rough stock events.
In addition to the rodeo events, there will be music throughout the evening hours with a traditional Kaycee street dance that will get started at 5:30pm.
Peggy tells us more about this year's musical talent.
Tickets for the rodeo events are $10 each and the street dance is free and open to the public.
