The Child Development Center in Buffalo will be offering Child Development Screenings for all children from birth to five years of age on Tuesday, February 8th.
The screenings are designed to check all children, according to Cassey Dyess, Early Interventionist and Family Services Coordinator with the Child Development Center. She explains why the screenings are important and what they mean.
Dyess said the screenings will find any problems a child may have before they enter school so the child may be assigned help, but in many cases the child may overcome the problem before they enter the school system.
Dyess said testing is always free, so parents should take advantage of the screenings.
Parents can bring their children to the Child Development Center located at 1 N. DeSmet, just east of the YMCA, but call ahead at 684-9271.
