Chief Carder Gives End Of Year Police Report to City Council

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder gave his monthly and end-of-year report to the city council at their last meeting.

Carder said for December 2012, there were 1,094 incidents handled by the department.
The City's Animal Control Officer (ACO) responded to just one call in the county during the month, but responded to 51 others within the city limits.

For the end-of-year report, Carder said the department handled 15,052 incidents during 2012.
Dispatch handled 36,339 calls during the year, and of those 1,795 were 9-1-1 calls.
100 misdemeanor arrests and three felony arrests were made and 1,412 citations were issued during the year.

Carder also reported that he wil be attending training in Billings, Montana this month for and FBI Active Shooter Training and will also be attending FBI Child Abduction Training next month and will miss the next two council meetings to attend them.
Lieutenant Andy Tkach will be attending the council meetings in his place.
