LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - A Cheyenne man previously convicted of driving under the influence faces a prison sentence for his latest offense.
The Laramie Boomerang (http://bit.ly/11VfLeX) reported Friday that 28-year-old Matthew Gregory Melander pleaded guilty this week to driving under the influence in Albany County in January. A state trooper said he was driving 90 miles per hour in a 75 mile per hour zone.
Court documents show that Melander had been arrested or convicted of driving under the influence at least five other times in Colorado and Wyoming since 2008. Under Wyoming law, a person with more than four DUIs in 10 years can be sent to prison for seven years and fined $10,000.
Melander pleaded guilty without a plea agreement so the judge has warned him he could face that sentence.
